On 9–10 June 2025, the PACE Parliamentary Network for Ukrainian Children conducted a fact-finding visit to Ukraine. The ALDE Group was represented by Vice-President Eerik Kross (Estonia), Rapporteur on the legal and human rights aspects of the Russian Federation’s aggression against Ukraine. We thank Larisa Bilozir, our member from Ukraine, who accompanied the delegation during the visit.
The delegation met with the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Justice, law enforcement agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Social Policy. The delegation also met with Mykola Kuleba, Chair of the NGO Save the Children.
The visit coincided with a new wave of Russian attacks on Kyiv, involving over 300 drones and missiles.
