Organisers of Boris Nemtsov’s murder must be brought to justice

27.02.2017 "On the second anniversary of the brutal murder of Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, ALDE-PACE renews calls on the Russian authorities to conduct an effective investigation and bring to justice those who ordered, organised and perpetrated the hideous crime", declared Jordi Xuclà, ALDE-PACE President.

Boris Nemtsov was murdered on 27 February 2015 in Moscow. On 27 January 2016, ALDE-PACE Vice-President Kerstin Lundgren and over 50 PACE members tabled a motion for a resolution calling to conduct an effective and credible investigation. On 26 February 2017, thousands of people joined a Nemtsov memorial march in several Russian cities, including Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod.
