n 2013 the ALDE group of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe launched a discussion on inappropriate restrictions to human rights NGOs. In 2017 the space of freedom continues to shrink in many European countries.
On Tuesday 10 October (1-2 p.m. in room 6) ALDE will host a side event to which we have invited prominent human rights experts, including the first two PACE Vaclav Havel Human Rights Prize lauréates, in order to assess the state of the freedom of association in Europe.
