On 4-6 October, European liberals gathered for a party Congress in Estoril, Portugal. Several ALDE-PACE members participated as national party delegates, including Sabina Cudic, Rik Daems, Valentina Grippo, Yevheniia Kravchuk, Michael Link, Denisa Neagu, Lucia Plavakova, and Marijana Puljak.
Svenja Hahn was elected as the new President of the ALDE Party, becoming the party’s 10th President and the third woman to hold the position. Iulian Bulai, President of the ALDE Group, joined fellow liberals in congratulating Svenja Hahn on her election.
We are also pleased to congratulate three ALDE-PACE colleagues—Yevheniia Kravchuk (Servant of the People, Ukraine), Lucia Plavakova (Progresívne Slovensko, Slovakia), and Rik Daems (Open VLD, Belgium)—on their election as Vice Presidents of the ALDE Party. This is an outstanding result, and we are confident it will further raise awareness of the Council of Europe’s work within the broader liberal audience.
