On 11 October, Sabina Ćudić was elected as the leader of Naša stranka, the liberal party of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sabina Ćudić is the first Bosnian liberal politician to be a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. She has been Vice-President of the ALDE Group in PACE since 2024 and sits on the Monitoring Committee and the Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination. ALDE-PACE highly values her unwavering commitment to the promotion of democracy and human rights in Europe and commends her dedicated efforts to bring international attention to the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a view to strengthening democratic institutions, the rule of law, and the protection of citizens’ rights in her country.
