The ALDE-PACE group will meet in Strasbourg on 7 and 9 April for the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly. Today, with attacks on the values of democracy, human rights and the rule of law intensifying by the day, our continent and our organisation are facing a moment of truth.
ALDE-PACE will discuss political crises and the resistance of pro-democracy forces in Georgia, Serbia, Slovakia and Turkey. We will reaffirm our support for Ukraine and insist on the need for accountability. The group will hold several hearings: with Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset, Friedrich Nauman Foundation board member and former liberal PACE President Anne Brasseur, and liberal representatives from Georgia, Serbia and Russia.
