On 24 February 2023, ALDE-PACE leader Iulian Bulai travelled to Kyiv to commemorate the victims of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and to reiterate the group’s support to Ukraine and its people.
ALDE-PACE Vice-Presidents Bertrand Bouyx (chairman of the French delegation to PACE) and Eerik Kross (chairman of the Estonian delegation to PACE), as well as Zeki Hakan Sidali (ALDE group member from Türkiye) also participated in the visit to Kyiv.
The delegation paid respect to the victims, attended the special session of parliament, and met with the Speaker and Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
